Kiln Drying

We utilize modern kiln drying (KD) facilities to adequately dry and stabilize the moisture content of our lumber production. Our KD process is meticulously monitored to ensure that the recorded moisture content of each lumber specie is the most accurate representation of the actual finished product. Thus, we have adopted the following quality control practices to enhance our KD processes:

1. The use of high end Bollmann moisture meters to conduct post-drying moisture tests on the lumber that leaves the kiln dryers.

2. Shrink wrapping of all lumber intended for shipment using moisture resistant polymer film, reducing re-absorption of moisture.

Our products are guaranteed to be free from lumber defects and deficiencies related to wood shrinkage. Each wood species is dried using accepted wood drying data standards from our control systems database.
